The crater with the prominent central peak below Alphonsus is Arzachel (97 km); the floor of Arzachel is terraced and contains a noticeable cleft. Thebit is the 57-km crater on the terminator with another crater (Thebit A - 20 km) on its western wall. Another smaller crater (Thebit L) overlaps Thebit B, but it is not visible in this photograph. Some of the other features of interest in this image are the walled plains Deslandres and Walter; Walter contains a cluster of small (5-km) craters just east of center.
